Stories for Curious Minds and Big Hearts
Warm stories inspired by real family life.
Where laughter, language, and little traditions come together.
Maitreyee’s newest book Avnee Aani Neevachya Goshti is here!
These stories are inspired by everyday moments at home. They are funny, warm, and rooted in real life.
Meet the Author
“I pass along the stories that once felt like magic to me, in books, in crafts, and in the quiet moments we share.”
I’m a bilingual children’s author and a mom of two young kids. My stories begin at home, where Indian traditions meet everyday American life.
I write about small wins, parenting mishaps, and the questions my children ask. Through my books and my magazine series Avneevachya Goshti, I turn those moments into stories families can enjoy together.
I want South Asian children to see their language and traditions reflected on the page in ways that feel joyful and familiar.
From Maitreyee’s Creative Corner
Not every story begins in a book.
Some begin in the kitchen.
At the craft table.
During a family celebration.
On the blog, I share simple ways to bring stories into everyday life. You’ll find easy activities, seasonal traditions, and ideas you can try at home.
Why it matters
Maitreyee’s books, crafts, and everyday rituals are her way of filling childhood with connection and wonder. She takes the time to make stories feel lived, not just read.
Because the small things we share with our children are the ones they carry with them.
“These stories feel like they understand our family. They’re warm, honest, and full of small moments we recognize.”
— Aditi, Bay Area Mom
